The Winn Laboratory within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Stanford University School of Medicine announces an opening for a postdoctoral position.
The successful candidate will have obtained a Ph.D and have a strong publication record. A strong background in reproductive biology or immunology desired. Experience in molecular and cellular techniques required. Experience with tissue culture, immunohistochemistry, Western blot, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, transduction, siRNA and/or CRISPR/Cas9 methods ideal.
The lab has ongoing studies that encompass:
1) Dissecting mechanisms regulating trophoblast differentiation, invasion and cellular processes related to pregnancy complications such as preeclampsia.
2) Exploring methods to assess placental specific extracellular vesicles and studies to understand the role of placental extracellular vesicles in pregnancy and pregnancy complications.
3) Defining and exploring the role of endothelial progenitor cells in pregnancy and preeclampsia.
